The delivery of a fiscally-disciplined budget \u2013 this being the last Budget under the 10th Malaysia Plan (10MP) \u2013 would sustain growth and pull Malaysia away from any ratings downgrade.<\/p>\n

Najib, who is also Finance Minister, would ensure that Budget 2015, like other financial blueprints, would be pro-business and people-friendly.<\/p>\n

Najib could announce reform of the fuel subsidy regime in order to move away from a blanket subsidy for all consumers in favour of a system that benefits lower to middle-income earners.<\/p>\n

The government may look to reduce subsidies on essential food items, such as flour and cooking oil, as well as household gas, said RHB Research.<\/p>\n

Bantuan Rakyat 1Malaysia (BR1M) could be increased by RM300 to RM950.<\/p>\n

The cost of living is considered to be the most vital issue among Malaysians ahead of the Budget 2015.<\/p>\n

Apart from the ‘Cost of Living’, other categories listed in the top five are Employment, Housing and Urban Life, Education and Social Welfare: OKU & Other Disadvantaged Groups.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile the Goods and Services Tax (GST) category, only received 10, 143 votes despite it being\u00a0 a topic of debate since it’s announcement last year.<\/p>\n
